A Holographic Mess

Wearing: Urban Outfitters pants / Forever 21 top & bikini top / Nasty Gal purse / Marc by Marc Jacobs sunglasses

Good morning from Las Vegas! Clearly I was headed to lay poolside from this outfit, for the trip I'm currently on I made sure to choose outfits for over my bikinis that can double as outfits suitable for shopping say (since I did a lot of that on this trip).  I often found myself headed to the nearest mall or shopping area after a few hours at the pool. However, it's guilt-free because there's some good stores here that I know I won't see for a while.
About the outfit, I chose these tribal/harem style pants that I actually love, surprisingly, because I kind of overdid the whole tribal trend last year. These pants are an exception though, they have more of a chic indian feel, in my mind at least. Also, this top may be one of my best purchases at Forever 21 (from last year by the way), the mesh knit fad is one of my favorites at the moment. Overall, this outfit gives off the effortless vibe I aim for when at a pool all day.
Oh, and I can't get away without mentioning this purse which adds to the outfit in the just the right way. Holographic is the second fad in which I can't get enough of at the moment.

Spring Break Outfits

Spring Break Outfits

Spring Break is either slowly approaching for your or already here. In my case, it is already here. I'll be going away this spring break and just finished the most joyful part of a vacation, packing. This evidently means that my outfits are planned (well, for now). Here are some examples of what I packed and my outfits. Number one thing I packed: bralettes. Whether they are bustier style which can be worn alone or actual bralettes used for layering I am sure I'll be wearing at least one a day. Shoe wise, there's one pair in which I know I'll get a lot of use out of and they are my Aldo booties you can find in this post. They give just the right height along with just the right amount of edge. Be sure to look out for these outfits in outfit posts!

Collective Spring Haul

Left to Right: Forever 21, Brandy Melville
Simple, lightweight printed tops that just scream spring to me!

Left to Right: Brandy Melville
The perfect pair of crop tops, the infamous AA crop top on the left redone by Brandy (for less than half the price) and a sweater crop top that is also perfect for spring

Left to Right: Forever 21
Fact: I don't own a maxi dress. Well, now I do but prior to purchasing these (that the pictures do not give justice to) I never owned a maxi dress. The left one is a simple gray, cotton maxi with a slit on the side and the one on the right is a black chiffon maxi that comes with a belt for some shape. These can worn so many different ways from at the pool to out at night!

Left to Right: Nordstrom
I've been eyeing midi skirts since spring clothes started hitting the shelves and never actually bought one. But, I thought about how many infinite ways I could wear it and figured it was well worth it.

Left to Right: Buffalo Exchange
Now, before making opinions on these jackets I'll probably have to do any outfit of the day with them because they look so so much better on a person, and styled! I'm almost 100% sure the one on the right is from American Apparel, retailing for $70! I got this one for a whooping $14! I couldn't believe when I saw it because I never find items that I've been eyeing at an affordable cost.

Left to Right: Brandy Melville
Sweet and pretty. These chiffon pieces are must-haves for spring. A strappy, chiffon dress and a peach chiffon skirt could not complete my closet better.

Left to Right: Buffalo Exchange
An oversized plaid button down and sheer striped top, nothing more to them but they are great items to have.

March Wish List

March Wish List

Does anyone else see a trend here? Pretty much everything I'm in dire need of this month includes either a metallic/holographic print, the color whtie, the color black, and transparent. With the exception of the trousers. I don't know what it is about these trends that are making me cling to them so much....they just give off such a sleek/futuristic look that I'm loving right now. All of these items could work with just about anything.

Wearing: Urban Outfitters tops / Thrifted Levi's vest / ASOS skirt

Layers upon layers. That's pretty much what I get from this outfit between the necklace and my little ensemble going on on top. I guess you can say I'm trying to squeeze in wearing layers before Spring comes (I'm not complaining).
Another thing, I'm starting to really enjoy doing an equal amount, if not more of trend posts and stuff like that, posts that involve Polyvore. Not sure if you guys do but let me know!

In Like a Lion, Out Like a Lamb: Nordstrom Savvy

In Like a Lion, Out Like a Lamb: Nordstrom Savvy

For those of you live near a Nordstrom that carries their new Savvy line, I wouldn't be surprised if your affinity for every item in it is as strong as mine. The line is intended to be a mix of the BP department and the contemporary department, with their prices in the middle also. The line is for the fashion forward girl who wants her trends now. Mostly the H&M, Forever 21, fast fashion shopper. Between my desire for spring and this new line, I'm about to burst if the weather doesn't change and I don't get my hands on some of these pieces. These are just some looks I threw together for spring from the line that I'd kill to wear.
