Calvin Calling

Wearing: Forever 21 dress and hat, Calvin Klein bralette (and undies :D), Nike Air Force 1s

The concept of showing a "lacey" bralette underneath a side-slit tank was a lot for society, nonetheless fathers and mothers, to take in- god forbid I mention the act of just wearing the bralette alone. Who would have thought we would've transitioned into letting our underwear peek out just tiny bit? I think my family members sure as heck didn't. I jumped on this peekaboo panties (my name!) bandwagon right away although the idea may seem slightly obscure to many. If done tastefully, I think this trend is a keeper.

Instagram Style Roundup #1

Here's a quick little "style roundup" of some outfits I've worn and posted on insta over the past couple of weeks (Lollapalooza outfits included!). Not all the outfits I wear I blog about, but I do try my hardest to at least get an insta post from any worthy look I wear. I'll try to make these roundups a monthly feature :)

Desert Roaming

Wearing: Zara vest, Urban Outfitters shorts, Brandy Melville tank, Adidas sneakers, Quay sunglasses

A pair of denim shorts seemed to be my only option for a day of roaming around the desert in above-100 degree weather. To keep cool I kept the layering simple with a basic tank underneath this awesome fringed vest from Zara. And obviously, I had to top the whole look off with a red bandana-to compliment the red rocks ;)- just kidding, but coincidentally the bandana did tie in nicely with the scenery!!

Mountain Mischeif

Wearing: American Apparel top, Nike Air Force 1s, The Vintage Twin shorts

Although this may not be the most exciting of outfits I have featured on the blog before, it may serve you some inspiration if you are... maybe, going hiking anytime soon? A mild hike that is. I love my Nike's dearly but Air Force's may not compliment a strenuous, 10 mile hike that well. These photos were taken at Papago Mountain in Arizona, where the tourist go-to is its infamous "hole in the rock" (not pictured) (the lighting was horrific!). For a short hike like this one, this outfit served just the right purpose. You can never go wrong with a classic pair of denim shorts and a simple top.
