Lace | Rips
Wearing: Topshop jeans, Nirvana tank, Birkenstock sandals
These jeans are very distressed, obviously. They have a huge, gaping hole in the right knee, (built in ventilation anyone??) which makes them ideal for hot summer days. All kidding aside, I can't stop wearing these jeans despite that it is summer and I have been waiting all year long to finally break out summer-appropriate clothing. Because of this I have realized that jeans are definitely going to be an essential for me this upcoming fall/winter season (not that they haven't been for the rest of America the past 140-ish years)...

Malibu Hills
Wearing: Urban Outfitters shirt, Thrifted shorts, Windsor Smith shoes, necklace from Fairfax flea
Even though this outfit can come across as way too simplistic for my liking, I mean there is no layering involved, something about it manages to win me over. Considering I spent a day at Malibu in this outfit, I wanted something that exuded effortlessness and didn't suffocate me in scorching hot weather. I love how the bagginess and mom-esque vibe of the shorts contrast with the dainty feel of the top. To complete the look I added my white Windsor's which tie together perfectly with the similarly white top and the delicate necklace adds a nice little touch.

Lust List: August
Here's a quick back to school lust list. With school starting up soon I wanted to show the items I'm dying to get my hands on for long schooldays (and manage to get me somewhat motivated to go to school). Some of these things include a Daniel Wellington watch (which you've probably seen all over your insta feed), Adidas originals, comfy loafers, great pairs of jeans (both mom and skinny) and some awesome chokers. Oh, and I can't forget about a Mansur Gavriel bucket bag (which is not really great for school but whatever). That one might have to wait until the holiday season!

Urban Lights
Wearing: Forever 21 sweater and shorts, Urban Outfitters tank, Windsor Smith shoes, ASOS bag
The Urban Lights exhibit at LACMA is probably one of the most sought-after places in LA to take pictures and although I slightly hate myself for jumping on the bandwagon, I couldn't resist. My only regret is not taking pictures by the lights at night because from what I can see in pictures, the exhibit is even more breathtaking. But, just looking up and seeing an overwhelming amount of street lamps towering over me is pretty cool in and of itself. For a day at a museum I wanted to wear something loose and easy to move in. These pleated shorts (that look like a skirt) and little lace tank worked just fine but I thought the outfit needed an extra something, which is where this long fringe sweater came into play.

Rodeo
Wearing: Nordstorm vest, Forever 21 dress, Urban Outfitters bralette, Windsor Smith shoes
Post-vacation depression is in full swing at the moment and in order to make myself feel better I thought my best option was blogging my Cali-sorrows away. This outfit marks the first day of my trip and, quite honestly, my favorite outfit of the trip. For a hot day of strolling around Beverly Hills I wanted an outfit that was both lightweight and comfortable. This midi dress from Forever 21 provided me with comfort and, of course, I had to layer so this lightweight vest from Nordstorm did just the trick. Between walking on pristine streets, surrounded by cars worth more than an average house and being tempted by stores where I can't afford a pair of socks I came to the conclusion that Beverly Hills is in fact a fantasy land. If I could compare Rodeo Drive to anything it would be Disney World because of the blissfulness and illusion that embodies the two. However, the difference is that Disney is meant to be a fantasy land, whereas Beverly Hills doesn't even know it...
