The Vintage Twin Trunk Show [finds]
Most of you probably have not heard of "The Vintage Twin, which is an up and coming clothing vintage store, only sold online, not including the last two days. Every year they hold an annual trunk show, yesterday and the day before held this years. I've been waiting to go to the trunk show forever because of the stores reputation and all of the buzz I heard about it, I knew it wasn't going to be a waste of time. I couldn't wait to go! I winded up coming home with four different things as I show below, although I wish I bought more I am pretty satisfied I at least finally got to see what the amazing company had to offer. I cannot wait for the website to launch in September! Overall, the merchandise was amazing, it was extremely overwhelming because their was so much I wanted. That's how you know somethings good.

Trendspotting: Fruit is the new Floral
Fashion risk takers have been sporting this trend, I have also seen this trend is various stores such as ASOS, revolve clothing, Nasty Gal, and so many more that can't come to my mind at the moment! For fashion "forwarders" this trend acts as the new floral print for them. It is fun, different, and has just a good "vibe" to it, it is extremely refreshing to see. Most of the time bright colors are used. Although some may think it is kinda weird in lack of better terms, it is just a new up and coming trend that everyone will be wearing by next year. Since it is new it might be a good idea to pair a fruit printed skirt or shirt with a solid bottom or top. Even though some people may feel bold enough to pair another print with this trend, it might start looking a little cartoonish. Here are some of my favorite fruit printed items:

DIY: headwrap
Head "gear" had changed dramatically over the last few years, months and even seasons. When us 90's girls were born, thick headbands and butterfly clips were all the rage. From there certain things went in and out of style such thin headbands which became popular with braided patterns and much more. Recently, within the last year or two the hippie headband became very popular, all different types of people felt comfortable rocking this trend. Thus, there had to be a new type of head "gear" to come about in order for all of the fashion forward girls and women out there to not feel like they are just like everyone else. During the winter, thick braided "sweater" material head wraps became popular, as well as risky turbans. This summer that trend still seemed to stay, this trend is a mix of the turban and thick head wrap in my opinion. It is the new "twist" head wrap, particularly made of chiffon. I first saw this trend at BP. Nordstrom, so why take a look at some right from the get go :)
In my opinion they have an extremely ethnic, eccentric feel to them while still maintaining the ordinary headband look:

Now, this DIY is extremely simple to do, all you need is a bandana and a pair of scissors!
1. The first thing to do is lay the bandana out flat and cut it in half, diagonally, so each side is symmetrical.
2. Then, roll up each piece into kind of a tube, depending on how thick or thin you want the head wrap, you might want to cut some extra fabric off.
3. After you rolled up your pieces, intertwine them as below. Just make a loop with one and take the other one and pull it through :)
4. The last step is to simply tie a knot with all four ends. It'll be thick but personally I think it is cool looking especially with your hair up!
Your result should look like this, mine is definitely on the thicker side!
P.S. - This works with any other fabric also, I thought a bandana was an affordable, easily accessible, and unique idea!

Summer Essentials
It is officially summer for the majority of people, and that means a totally different schedule, a more free schedule in fact. Due to so much freedom now people may get tired of getting ready every single morning to go out and just do everyday things. So to not walk out of the house without feeling guilty I picked out some essential summer items that can uplift you in seconds. You should have these items right at your door for when you leave:
1. Topshop 2. Topshop 3. Forever 21 4. (Mint) J. Crew (Brown) Madewell 5. Your local drug store
1. The first essential item is a pair of comfortable, trendy sandals. You can't tell if a pair of shoes are
comfortable online so I suggest going to stores and trying on a pair of sandals that catch your eye, bring them home for a day or two and test them out to see if their comfortable. Once you found "your" pair, make them your new best friend and wear them 24/7 when you just have to leave the house real quick.
2. The second item is a pair of sunglasses, pretty ordinary. But lately the classic aviator style has emerged into much more different styles, such as cat-eye or John Lennon inspired. Try out a pair and it will update your whole look in big way, it shows your willing to take risks!
3. Hats have become extremely apparent within the last few months. This is another item to keep on the hook beside your door. When you choose your hat get a hat with a cool print, detail, or color on it. And don't worry about having to pair it with something that matches since this season is all about mixing colors. Also try different style hats such as a sun hat, fedora, or a classic sloppy hat.
4. Of course a stylish bag is also a ordinary accessory. But this season try a different take on a ordinary bag and try a vintage inspired bag, or one in a color you would never see yourself wearing. Something like this also changes your look completely!
5. The last thing is EOS lip balm and lotion, I just had to add this because they are just great, you never know when you're going to need them and they are the perfect size and fit right into your bag!

You Can Always Judge a Person by their iPhone case
This just came to my mind a few weeks ago when I saw someone's phone case and I was able to tell what kind of person that person was. This mostly goes for girls only, because most of the time guys' phone cases are a solid color. As for girls I think a phone case says a lot about a person whether it'd be a print (design), picture, or brand of case! These are my iPhone cases, can you tell what kind of person I am by them?
By the way, the case in the first picture on the far right I studded myself!

June Nail Color: A Good Man-darin is Hard to Find
My last two exams were today and it is officially summer for me! I've been wanting to get this color for months but I could never because of dance recital, pictures, etc. (and we couldn't have bright nail polish) so I got "A Good Man-darin is Hard to Find" this month, the perfect time, the color is a great transition into summer. Lately, my favorite "pop of color" has been orange, I don't know, something about it makes me want to incorporate it into everything this season.

DIY bleached denim shorts
As I said last week I was planning on doing a DIY on bleaching a pair of denim shorts. These shorts came out a bit different then the usual ones you see bleached because they were black. Since they were black it takes quadruple the time to get the same results compared to a light washed pair of jeans. So after two hours the results are shown below, I was going to keep them in for longer to achieve the white color but I saw this color and thought it was really different and unique. So I took them out. I did not come up with the steps for bleaching myself, here is the link to the steps I followed, minus the beginning part of distressing the shorts because these already came distressed.
By the way, I purchased these shorts at Goodwill.

Boyfriend and Florals
Wearing: Nordstrom BP. blouse, Nordstrom belt, Abercrombie and Fitch jeans, ring from a local boutique, Sam Edelman loafers
I found these jeans rummaging through my drawers over the weekend, and I must say they are my new favorite jeans! I've been craving a pair of boyfriend jeans for some reason and I thought these would suit the look just fine. They are from Abercrombie and Fitch, distressed/ripped, a little loose, and I rolled up the bottoms making for the perfect boyfriend jean. I just paired them with a pretty floral blouse I got over the weekend, with my spiked loafers and I went light on jewelry with a large turquoise ring.
