Harvard Square

Wearing: Nordstrom top, sweater and pants / Topshop shoes / Ray-Ban sunglasses

There could not be a better location to go along with this outfit. Standing right in front of Harvard, the iconic university, and wearing my quintessential go-to outfit for school, cotton trousers and a thick sweater paired with slip-ons. Three of five days out of the school week you can catch me wearing some altered version of this ensemble. But, now that the weather has stopped fooling all of us and warm weather is here to stay, I'll have to swap out my sweaters and trousers for something else. Lets see how mother nature influences my dressing habits in weeks to come.

Overalls and Jellies

Wearing: Denim overalls (similar), Forever 21 shirt (similar), Juju Jelly Sandals, purse from Asos

To buy or not to buy jellies? I have been asking myself this question since last year and my preference has changed day by day. Finally, I fell upon these white heeled Juju's at American Apparel and justified them by thinking about how I have not bought a pair of sandals this year yet. And I was in desperate need. Now looking back, this is pretty ironic considering the fact that I wore socks with them, which does not completely classify these sandals as, well, sandals. Anyway, I am satisfied with my choice and will probably feature them in many upcoming blog posts because I think they are slightly tricky to style.

Short Skirts and Chokers

w e a r i n g : American Apparel tennis skirt / Forever 21 top / H&M jacket and shoes / Urban Outfitters tights

Spring unfortunately hasn't come around in full swing yet, which means constant mis-dressing and windy hair. These tights are not something I would normally wear, but they were sitting in my drawer helplessly staring at me; so I thought I should give them a chance. I paired them with my tennis skirt which I then paired with a quilted structured top that lays right over the skirt; just the right amount of pleats peak out. I know I've talked about my affinity for the tennis skirt before but I cannot wait to stock up on them this summer. The navy and black ones are calling my name.
